Stop it

I saw you staring into infinity
with eyes lonely and weary
may be in search of a little light
to brighten up your life.
Yeah! those trifle needs
which my heart never dares to ask
But those needs which make you hollow inside
Those needs which keep clinging to you
like the moss around an old tree

Oh! my innocent heart stop searching
For its all in vain
For what what you demand
is something you will never have
For this world triumphs under
the fragments of lingering hearts
Through which comes the music of sadness

Hope

You are to me -
A touch of the Sun,
A warmth to my skin,
when friends from other worlds not my own
lay waste the contours of my existence

Then Hope,
Like a new-born springtime bird
Rises skyward
From winter's withered branches of desolation
And life again renews itself like a phoenix,
Undimmed,
Undiminished.
